What to visit:
Why Mannheim
Because after a long day in the library the lights of the Palace and the smell of chocolate, which spreads in the whole city, make me smile deeply.
Mannheim is a city which offers all chances for development and entertainment. The various universities have multiple programs which can suit everyone's taste: theoretical, practical and dual programs, for instance. For the ones who would like to develop not only on the academic field, there are the typical for Europe sports such as football, basketball and martial arts as well as field hockey, ice hockey, and baseball, which aren't common on the continent, and all of them on a professional level. All of that promotes the development of the many different cultures and presents us with the opportunity of social and cultural enrichment.
Mannheim is like the saying: ''Don't judge a book by its cover''. Beyond the surface of an industrial dusty town you'll find art, music, youthful atmosphere and a light fragrance in the air coming from the local chocolate factory. Be curious to dig deeper.
The reasons why I chose Mannheim – because of the university which was the first thing I like about the city: to be studying in a palace, and the second thing, as I come from a town where one always has to travel for a long time, I like the fact, that the important locations in Mannheim are close to each other. I like that it is a student city – in other words, that there are a lot of students and among them – a big number of international students.
