ABOUT US
The student organization “Bai Ganyo” e.V. was founded in 2004 and has been acting as a bridge between Bulgarian and other cultures here at the University of Mannheim ever since. Our main purpose is to ease the integration of international students in Germany.
We offer newcomers the guidance and support they might need at the beginning and throughout their studies. We accommodate freshmen at their arrival, as well as organize Info-meetings, where we assist them with advice. Students can also benefit from our mentoring program which ensures easier and faster adjustment to the university and life on their own.
Our organization also strives to convey a better understanding of Bulgarian culture among foreigners, therefore we encourage participation from our international friends and we actively work with other organizations and initiatives. Through different cultural and leisure events and activities we aim to inspire interest towards Bulgarian traditions, folklore and history.
Our community presents you with a stage for your hobbies with our dance, sport and art groups. Within the weekly meetings of our literary club we discuss a variety of books, concerning the relations between Germany and Bulgaria. We embrace creative ideas and suggestions as we are always open to new endeavors.
